Philosophy
Mental health care should be as routine as a physical checkup—not a last resort when life becomes overwhelming. Most of us wait until we’re at a breaking point to seek support. I work with my clients to shift that narrative, moving away from crisis mode toward a model of preventative care that builds the mental resilience to handle whatever life throws at you. Whether you are navigating a specific diagnosis or simply the messiness of being human, my goal is to help you stay present and move toward what truly matters to you.
In our sessions, I am an active, down-to-earth participant. I believe the most effective therapy happens when deep empathy is balanced with a supportive challenge. My approach isn't about eliminating every bad feeling; it's about learning to unhook from difficult thoughts so you can bridge the gap between where you are today and the rich, purposeful life you want to lead.
While my clinical experiences are rooted in the acute psychiatric and forensic settings, I use that experience to provide a steady, grounded presence for my clients. Navigating these environments has taught me that professional expertise and authentic human connection aren't mutually exclusive—they are both essential for real change. This background allows me to hold even the heaviest or complex situations with ease, ensuring that we move past clinical labels to create a space where you feel safe to be curious, authentic, and—most importantly—yourself.
