Measurement-Based Care (MBC)

Frequently Asked Questions

General

+ What is Measurement-Based Care?

Measurement-Based Care (MBC) is an evidence-informed approach to psychotherapy that uses research-informed questionnaires to monitor symptoms, functioning, and overall well-being throughout treatment.

At PRISMA, we use Greenspace Health as our Measurement-Based Care platform. Here, you and your clinician use validated measures to track progress and guide treatment decisions over time.

MBC is associated with stronger client engagement and improved therapy outcomes. We integrate MBC as part of our commitment to providing intentional, responsive, and high-quality clinical care

+ Why does measuring therapy progress matter?

Periodic measurement allows you and your clinician to identify patterns, observe meaningful changes, and make informed decisions about your care.

This structured approach enhances clarity and collaboration while ensuring your treatment remains aligned with your goals.

How it Works

+ How will I complete the questionnaires?

Measures are delivered through Greenspace’s secure digital system.

You will periodically receive a notification prompting you to complete brief questionnaires. Clients have access to a secure account where they can log in to review and track their progress over time. However, logging into your account is not required in order to complete the measures. They can be completed directly through the secure link provided.

Most questionnaires take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

+ How are the measures selected?

We use measures that are designed to monitor common areas of mental health and well-being, such as symptoms of anxiety or low mood, daily functioning, stress levels, and overall quality of life. Tracking these areas over time supports more precise treatment planning and helps therapy to remain responsive as your needs evolve.

As therapy progresses, measures may be adjusted to ensure they remain clinically relevant and meaningful to your care.

+ What if my scores change over time?

Fluctuations are common and expected. Changes in scores help your clinician better understand your experience and guide discussion in session. The purpose of measurement is not evaluation, but insight and treatment planning.
