Philosophy
I believe that human connection is transformative.
My approach to change is collaborative and compassionate and I seek to build a meaningful and genuine therapeutic connection based on mutual respect and honesty. Within the safety of a strong therapeutic connection we can begin to Identify patterns in relationships and repetitive themes that keep you from meeting your goals and feeling satisfaction in your life and relationships.
Conversations often lead back to the themes of acceptance, resilience and self-compassion that guide my practice as we develop the insight and motivation that have the potential to create the change that you want in your life.
From an anti-oppressive, trauma Informed lens I utilize behavioural treatments including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as motivational interviewing, and solution focused interventions.
